Funding sources:
Sixty percent of the children at Robin’s Nest qualify for government-subsidized child care. To supplement the reduced fees that parents pay, Robin’s Nest receives funding from the following:
  • Child Care Information Services (subsidized child care funding from the federal government through the state government)
  • Child and Adult Care Food Program (partial reimbursement for meals and snacks funded by the USDA through the PA Department of Education)
  • Department of Public Assistance (subsidized child care for DPA clients funded by the state)
  • Pittsburgh Vision Services (funded by the Heinz Foundation to do vision screenings for preschool age children)
  • Allegheny County Health Department (state funded lead screenings)
