Staff qualifications:
Robin’s Nest is staffed by qualified, long-term employees. Gwen Marcus, the director, has also served as the group supervisor for eight years, and has an Associate degree in Child and Family Studies. Clovis Thornton, assistant group supervisor for over a year, is also working on her Associate degree in Child and Family Studies. Joyce Blackwell, a five-year employee, and Elaine Wharton, a four-year employee, serve as assistant group supervisors. Terri Bukva, who the children call “Grandma,” is a part-time aide and has worked at the center for eight years. The five full-time staff are certified in CPR and First Aid.
